This past weekend we had a great time MERGE’n it up. I hope that each one of you have had time to digest what we discussed and also have had time to evaluate how you are going to let this weekend change your dedication level. Please continue to strive to help make our youth vision an everyday part of your world. Remember:
1. Personal study and growth
2. Prayer
3. Inreach (helping out where you can to see to it that things get done around your home and our church)
4. Outreach (making sure that we make every opportunity to help meet the needs of the people we come in contact with)
Our youth ministry has begun a new phase. I am calling it “Waiting”. This is based off of a two-fold purpose. The first purpose is for us to “wait” on God and pay attention to Him and let Him show us His plan and direction. Psalm 46:10 tells us to “be still and KNOW that I am God…” We need to sometimes just sit back, hush and let God deliver.
The second part of this “Waiting” theme takes the idea of becoming a waiter. If you are a waiter your job is to make sure that the people you are serving are taken care of completely. Every need that they have should be covered. I want us to understand that Christianity is the same. We are called to serve others. Every need should be met.
